This butyl acetate and acrylic resin mixture is the first mounting medium developed for coverslipping directly from d-limonene based clearants. Superior results are also with xylene. CitraMount medium is recommended for manual coversliping only as it may cause damage to the valves of automated coverslippers. Clear seal has a drying time of less than 24 hours. Refractive index is 1.42 and Viscosity is 90 cP.
Electron Microscopy Sciences Technovit Embedding Mold HistoForm Q
An important prerequisite for easy-to-cut specimens is a mold with a special profile which will provide specimen blocks for easy application and simple cutting. This is achieved with Histoform S, an embedding mold composed of new material with a special shape.
All essential requirements such as material-saving volume, easy-to-cut shape, unlimited shelf life, easy removal of the embedded specimens because of the conical shape and the PTFE material, excellent temperature dissipation by way of refined steel bottom, and accurate and easy fixing of the specimen blocks byspecial grooves were achieved with Histoform S, in cooperation with renowned users.
Curing temperature measurements have confirmed that at this volume the combination of Teflon and refined steel will result in a considerably lower polymerization temperature. Cavities are 20mm wide x16mm high x10mm deep.

Fluoro-Gel is a water based mounting medium designed for the permanent mounting of fluorescent stained tissues, which may either be damaged or soluble in organic solvents, such as xylene or toluene. Specially developed mounting medium is compatible with National Diagnostic clearing agents, HistoClear II. Omnimount combines outstanding optical characteristics with low fluororescence and exceptional durability. Omnimount is a truly universal mounting medium compatible with all common clearing agents: xylene, toluene, limonene, and petroleum derived products.
The Omnimount solvent has a higher flash point and a lower toxicity than xylene based mountants, so Omnimount provides both a safer work environment and reduce shipping costs.

DAPI 4,6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole dihydrochloride is a cell permeable, fluorescent dye that is a minor groove-binding probe for DNA. Binds to the minor groove of double-stranded DNA preferentially to AT rich DNA, forming a stable complex which fluoresces approximately 20 times greater than DAPI alone. DAPI is several times more sensitive than ethidium bromide for staining DNA in agarose gels. It may be used for photofootprinting of DNA, to detect annealed probes in blotting applications by specifically visualizing the double-stranded complex, and to study the changes in DNA and analyze DNA content during apoptosis using flow cytometry. Diagnostic Biosystems CC/MOUNT CC/Mount™
CC/Mount is an aqueous mounting medium with very high refractive index. When applied to the stained tissue sections, specimens can be permanently mounted without chromogens fading. Due to the superior refractive index of CC/Mount, tissues mounted in this medium look like dehydrated specimens. No coverslipping is required with CC/Mount. However, if coverslipping is desired, dried CC/Mount can be post-mounted by using an organic based mounting medium. Advantages of CC/Mount are numerous: no coverslip, no exposure to the organic fumes, permanent storage of slides and high resolution of tissue specimens. CC/Mount is compatible with chromogens lik AEC, DAB, Fast Red, BCIP/NBT, BCIP/INT and fluorescent dyes like FITC and phycobiliproteins.
